About Us
TDS Corporate Services,
located in Palm Coast, Florida, provides
transportation logistics and freight payment related services to our
parent company,
ITT
Corporation, their business units, and
companies outside the ITT family. Many members of the TDS staff have been with the company for over 20 years, and offer
a tremendous amount of industry and company knowledge to our
customers.
TDS began providing freight payment services for ITT Corporation more than
25 years ago. Through the constantly changing business environment
over the last two decades ITT has strengthened its competitive
advantage in its core competencies and increased shareholder
value by acquiring and divesting a vast array of businesses.
Throughout this period, TDS has continued to provide
logistics and freight payment services to ITT, its current business
units, and many of the divested entities. This has allowed TDS to
grow our portfolio of customers outside of ITT Corporation while
continuing to provide value to our ITT clients. TDS now
offers our knowledge and expertise in freight payment and
transportation logistics to companies in a variety of industries
throughout North America.
What’s in a Name?
We often get
the question, “What does TDS
stand for?” When TDS
Corporate Services
began more than 25 years ago, we were solely focused on freight
payment and transportation logistics services. At that time,
TDS stood for
Transportation Distribution Services. Over the years, as
TDS grew and began to
expand our services, we chose to retain our name as brand
recognition for providing outstanding value-added services to
our customers. Much like when ITT decided to change from
International Telephone and Telegraph to just ITT,
TDS wanted to keep
our known symbol of reputation. So, while
TDS may no longer
stand for anything in terms of the acronym, we still stand for
high-quality, efficient and cost effective services for our
internal, external and future customers.

Investment in the Future
TDS Corporate Services continues to grow our value proposition by
leveraging technology, innovation and industry experience to provide
other valuable supply chain services to our ITT clients. TDS is currently
working on additional ways to help our customers find more
cost-effective and efficient solutions to performing every day
business services. While these services are currently offered
only to ITT Corporation companies, considerations are being made as
to how TDS could offer some of these valuable services to our clients
outside of the ITT family in the future.
Programs currently being deployed by TDS to
ITT and its business units include:
eProcurement
TDS negotiates non-product (indirect) corporate supply
agreements for the ITT family of companies. By consolidating the
procurement of all non-product (indirect) goods through one channel,
TDS can negotiate with suppliers to attain savings based on
volume purchasing and exclusivity agreements. TDS has
developed a web-based eProcurement tool called eBuyITT, which is used as a
single point of access for ITT users to these suppliers.

Purchasing Card (P-Card)
TDS manages the P-Card program,
an approved buying channel, for all ITT Corporation companies.
Through this program, TDS negotiates and manages supplier
contract agreements, handles enterprise-wide administration and
corporate compliance issues and trains ITT personnel who manage a
P-Card account. P-Card invoices are processed through TDS
invoice payment operations.

Telecommunications
TDS also handles
Telecommunications contracts for ITT Corporation companies.
Leveraging the large organizational structure of the ITT family,
TDS manages the supplier contract agreements for the company to
obtain competitive rates at ITT sites. Telecommunications invoices
are also processed through TDS invoice payment operations.

Corporate Travel
The ITT
Corporate Travel Department is headquartered at
TDS in Palm Coast, FL,
with a branch office in Stockholm, Sweden. The Corporate Travel
Department supports the ITT family of businesses worldwide. The
Corporate Travel Department is another example of how we are
dedicated to leveraging the ability to procure lower cost contracts
with service providers based on volume purchasing and exclusivity
agreements throughout ITT. Additionally, travelers can utilize an
online booking tool that provides all cost and service options as
well as monitoring compliance to the ITT Corporate Travel Policy.
This allows improved decision support for travelers and results in
lower costs to ITT businesses.
